- Does OMNI have a compliance plan?
OMNI has a fully developed and effective compliance plan consistent with the OIG's recommendations. Compliance programs for third-party billing companies are described in the OIG's "Publication of the OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Third-Party
Medical Billing Companies" contained in the Federal Register dated December 18, 1998 pages 70138 to 70152. This publication continues to serve as the OIG's recommended guidelines for billing companies.
- When a claim is "denied" by the payer, how is the claim resolved?
OMNI is aware that carriers make mistakes and does not take denials at face value. OMNI follows a strict protocol on staff training and education in regard to all aspects of accounts receivable work. Through years of experiential knowledge, the team
is attuned to the reality of carrier mistakes and the value of working these denials within designated time frames. Your Project Manager at OMNI will provide you with our detailed step-by-step protocol for working denials.
- When our practice transitions it's billing to OMNI, what happens to the data on our current system? How is the old A/R handled?
Because there are numerous variables involved, the answer is practice-specific. In every instance, OMNI will examine the opportunity for economic benefit to the practice. Old A/R is rarely transferable to Intergy® electronically for our team to "work" the
accounts. Most often our account review will identify opportunities and pursue collections on the practice's behalf. A discreet fee is appropriate for these efforts.
- Can different levels of access be created for the staff in our practice?
Billing systems are the lifeblood of every practice. Security designs that selectively limit access assure that the proper authority is placed in the hands of those employees best suited for the work to be performed. There are more than 50 unique access designs which can be customized
for your situation.
- What is OMNI's targeted days in A/R for client practices?
The targeted days in A/R is based on medical specialty and payer mix. OMNI will establish a target for each client practice based on industry benchmarks. Oftentimes, we enhance practice cash flow by 2 weeks or more.
- What kind of reporting does OMNI provide for my practice? Can reports be customized?
The practice can select from over 200 available standard reports. OMNI will work with the practice to determine key reports. The capacity to create custom reports is almost limitless. Each report set is practice-specific and driven by the merging of our professional expertise
and the practice's needs.
- How does OMNI assure the security and availability of the software and the practice's data?
OMNI prides itself on providing its clients with uninterrupted, 24-7 access to the software and data housed on our home office servers. This is complimented by redundant internet access. The benefit to you is that your data and access to it is reliable.
